1. Intended use
Lactoferrin Immunoaffinity Columns (RBRP700) is a heparin affinity column that binds lactoferrin and separates it from other proteins ensuring accurate, reliable results across diverse applications.
2. General information
- The procedure is based on heparin affinity to bovine lactoferrin, which makes the test specific, sensitive, rapid and simple to perform.
- The affinity column contains a heparin gel suspension that will capture bovine lactoferrin. Following extraction of the infant formula, the sample is centrifuged at 4 °C, the fat removed then the supernatant is passed through the column. The column is washed prior to elution. The eluate is collected and analysed by HPLC.
