- The Lumitester Smart intelligent surface hygiene ATP meter from Kikkoman is a new-generation device that replaces the earlier generation of ATP meters: Lumitester PD-20 and Lumitester PD-30.

- In February 2019 Kikkoman researched and developed a new generation of the ATP-method surface hygiene meter, called Lumitester Smart.

- Lumitester Smart is a handheld ATP meter developed by Kikkoman Biochemifa (Japan). The instrument works with test swabs containing the enzyme luciferase, which reacts with ATP to produce light. Results are shown directly on the screen and can be synchronised with a smartphone app via Bluetooth for monitoring and data storage.

- Lumitester Smart is not only an ATP meter for checking the cleanliness of surfaces after cleaning, it can also quickly check the level of biological contamination in CIP water, RO water and water used in the production process. This is particularly useful in the food industry, where piping systems, tanks and equipment are often cleaned by CIP (Cleaning In Place) procedures, or RO water is used for preparation, rinsing equipment or as an input material.

3. Multi-structure data can be managed as cloud technology

4. The Lumitester Smart still uses 2 types of ATP swabs:

– ATP swab for environmental surface testing A3 Surface: (LuciPac A3 Surface), 100 swabs/box, 60361

– ATP swab for testing the water environment: (Lucipac A3 Water), 100 swabs/box, 60365

5. Storing the test swabs

– Store the test swabs at: 2-8°C (do not freeze)

+ When the test swabs are kept at 25°C: 14 days (unopened)

+ When the test swabs are kept at 30°C: 5 days (unopened)

– Shelf life: 15 months from the date of manufacture
