ThunderBolt® automatic Elisa system

Technical specifications:
1. Intelligent sample rack (Intelligent Sample Racks): the smart sample rack manages the sample position automatically by the sample ID, regardless of where the sample is. Includes 3 racks that can hold up to 192 samples. The racks can be removed and fitted easily and suit test tubes of size 12, 13 or 16 x 75 mm.
2. Reagent holding rack (Reagent Rack): includes 16 positions suitable for bottles of size 22 to 35mm, and also supplies accompanying adapters suitable for many other bottle types.
3. The rack holding samples and chemicals is placed on a sliding tray, very easy and suitable during operation.
4. Microtiter Plate Carrier: contains 2 reaction microtiter plate positions and 1 pre‐ dilution plate position.
5. Camera: integrated with a probe for easy monitoring of the activity actually taking place inside and easy remote troubleshooting.
6. Integrated probe (Probe Assembly): ThunderBolt uses a single probe, a 2-needle system, without using accompanying tips. The system can sample and dispense accurately at volumes from 1µl - 300 µl. It uses a micro‐syringe with very high aspiration accuracy of 1 µl (less than 3% CV throughout the process). Liquid detection through conductivity with a minimum detection volume of 50 µl.
7. Barcode scanner (Barcode Scanner): fully integrated to support the following code types: codabar, code39, interleaved 2 of 5, code 93, code 2 of 5, IATA code 2 of 5, matrix 2 of 5, code 11, code 128, telepen, UPC A, UPC E, EAN 13, EAN 8, MSI, Plessey, RSS‐14, RSS‐14 Limited, RSS‐14 Expanded, China Post Code, and PDF417.
8. Incubator (Incubator): the forced-convection incubator can heat to a maximum of 46°C. A special point of ThunderBolt is uniform heating in all wells for a more uniform reaction.
9. Reader (Reader): is integrated very compactly inside ThunderBolt, with a full LED spectrum at the wavelengths: 405, 450, 490, 550 and 630 nm. In addition, the wavelength can also be set on request.

10. Orbital shaker (Orbital Shaker): the integrated orbital shaker has a design suitable for shaking without throwing the sample out (ThunderBolt can dispense and/or incubate while shaking is in progress).

12. Software: the preinstalled graphical user-interface software runs on the Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating system. The software integrates with most LIS systems and provides a complete 2-way interface. ThunderBolt and the software include an audio system designed to alert the user during operation when the operation fails or the instrument has a fault.
