Swab test for surface microbiological sampling

The surface sampling device contains a sterile test swab in 1 ml of sterile PBS / peptone buffer for sampling, surface swab testing and the quantitative detection of microorganisms on surfaces in combination with Compact Dry culture media.

General information:

The test swab is a tool for surface microbiological sampling in food production and processing environments. The buffer in the tube is used to stabilise the microorganisms collected during transport. The sample must be shaken evenly and homogeneously in the buffer before pipetting it onto the Compact Dry plate. To release the sample into the plate, use the lock at the bottom of the test swab to deliver the sample into the Compact Dry plate.

After the sample has been applied, the plates must be incubated and evaluated according to the instructions for use supplied with each individual type of Compact Dry plate.
