Product Information

SureFood® GMO SCREEN 4plex 35S/NOS/FMV/IAC is a multiplex real-time PCR kit designed for GMO screening in food, feed, and seeds.

Intended Use

The kit is designed to detect specific DNA sequences associated with genetically modified organisms (GMOs), including:

• 35S CaMV promoter: The 35S promoter DNA sequence originating from Cauliflower Mosaic Virus (CaMV).
• NOS terminator: The NOS terminator DNA sequence originating from Agrobacterium tumefaciens.
• FMV promoter: The FMV promoter DNA sequence originating from Figwort Mosaic Virus (FMV).
• IAC (Internal Amplification Control): An internal amplification control used to help identify potential PCR inhibition.

The detection method is according to German Food Law § 64 for the detection of genetically modified DNA sequences.

General Information

The real-time PCR assay can be performed on common real-time PCR instruments capable of simultaneous detection using four fluorescence channels at wavelengths of 522 nm, 553 nm, 610 nm, and 670 nm, corresponding to the FAM, VIC, ROX, and Cy5 dyes, respectively.
