RIDA®SMART APP - Mycotoxin testing application for smartphones

Intended use:
RIDA®SMART is a completely new evaluation technology for the quantification of mycotoxins. This technology evaluates lateral flow devices (LFDs), which are used for the immunochromatographic analysis of mycotoxins. The application delivers reliable and accurate results that can be forwarded by e-mail, sent to a server or easily sent to any supported printer. This application is cheaper, easier and faster than other conventional result readers.

- At present, the issue of testing for mycotoxins (Aflatoxin, DON, Zearalenon, Fumonisin, T2/HT2) receives particular attention and interest from animal feed factories and from units specialising in the import of raw materials for animal feed.
- As for the method, units in the Vietnamese market currently use the traditional rapid mycotoxin testing method to screen raw materials of adequate quality before they enter production. The disadvantages of this method are the bulky equipment investment, the extensive preparation of consumables and the very long time to obtain results. Quality control is therefore limited, and the method cannot be taken into the field. These inconveniences slow down the control schedule and therefore the delivery of raw materials to the factory.
- For this reason, the test kit manufacturer R-Biopharm (Germany) has introduced a completely new technology, namely the RIDA®SMART APP, an application for mycotoxin testing with a smartphone.

RIDA®SMART APP is compatible with all mycotoxin parameters:

Customers only need to be equipped with a Samsung Galaxy A23 or Galaxy Note 9S, Note 10S phone, the RIDA® SMART APP application, the test kit for each parameter the customer needs to test, and 1 set of consumables for the sample extraction procedure.
The time from sample preparation to reading the result is only 20 minutes.
