1. Intended use

RIDA®QUICK Aflatoxin RQS (order code R5208) is an aflatoxin rapid test kit for the quantitative immunochromatographic determination of aflatoxin in maize on a rapid test strip. Results are read with the RIDA®SMART APP software or with the RIDA SMART BOX reader

2. General information

Aflatoxin is a secondary metabolite of the fungi Aspergillus flavus, parasiticus and nomius. These fungi occur in humid tropical regions and contamination of agricultural produce takes place in growing countries. Aflatoxin is the most potent naturally occurring carcinogen.

3. Advantages of using the aflatoxin rapid test kit

- Easy to perform: simple sample preparation and test procedure.

- Low detection limit < 2µg/kg (ppb).

- Rapid quantitative test for the analysis of aflatoxin in maize in combination with a reader. Incubation time is only 3 minutes.
