Improved composition

In the two-component reagent, the Karl Fisher reactant is separated into two solutions: the titrant and the solvent. Hydranal-Titrant contains iodine dissolved in alcohol at a precisely determined concentration. Hydranal-Solvent is an alcoholic solution of sulfur dioxide and imidazole. The alcohol is methanol for the standard reagent or ethanol for the type E reagent.
