Rapid Ochratoxin test | RIDA® QUICK Ochratoxin RQS ECO

1. Intended use

RIDA® QUICK Ochratoxin RQS ECO (code R5404) is a rapid mycotoxin test kit for Ochratoxin, used for a quantitative strip-format immunochromatographic assay to determine the ochratoxin content in maize and wheat. Results are evaluated with the RIDA®SMART APP software or with the RIDA SMART BOX device.

2. General information

The mycotoxin ochratoxin A is formed by fungi of the genus Aspergillus and Penicillium. Besides its pronounced renal toxicity, ochratoxin A is also hepatotoxic, teratogenic, carcinogenic and immunosuppressive. Eating contaminated food and feed of both plant and animal origin poses a particular health risk to humans. The mycotoxin Ochratoxin A has been detected in pig blood and kidneys, in human blood and in breast milk.
