1. Intended use

RIDA®QUICK DON RQS ECO (product code R5911) is a rapid test kit for the Deoxynivalenol (DON) toxin, used for quantitative immunochromatographic testing with distilled water extraction in the form of test strips to determine the DON toxin in cereals (wheat, maize, barley, oats). The quantitative result is evaluated with the RIDA®SMART APP software or with the RIDA® SMART BOX device.

2. General information

DON is a trichothecene mycotoxin. It is produced by fungi of the genus Fusarium. DON can be found in plant products and in cereals in particular. DON is the most common toxin among the more than 100 trichothecenes known in Europe and North America.
