Kikkoman allergen test sticks

- We are pleased to introduce the new product line “Allergeneye Immunochromatography”. A rapid test for the allergens in the main foods. The line of allergen test sticks gives you results within 1 hour. These tests are highly sensitive and can detect 2 ppm of allergenic protein in a food sample.

- Kikkoman's Allergeneye ™ test is a rapid test that allows you to check 9 main food allergens with very high sensitivity.

1. Advantages of the allergen test sticks

- Fast, easy and efficient.

- Rapid on-site testing, with test results within 1 hour.

- Proven to be more sensitive than competing products, especially in heated foods and ready-packed foods.

- Used with a swab to test allergens on surfaces, or the test can be used in a food sample.

- Each allergen test kit can analyse up to 20 samples

3. Procedure of the rapid allergen test

3.1. Step 1

- Prepare the solution for extracting the sample.

- Add the 10-fold concentrated extraction solutions (1) and (2) to purified water and mix well.

Homogenise the test sample

Weigh 1 g of the test sample into a 50 mL centrifuge tube.

3.4. Step 4

Add 19 mL of sample extraction solution and mix well.

3.5. Step 5

- Heat in boiling water for 10 minutes.

- Then let it cool to room temperature.

3.6. Step 6

- Filter the solution through filter paper to obtain the test sample.

* [Only when testing wheat] -> Dilute the filtrate 5-fold with the sample extraction solution and use it as the test sample.

3.7. Step 7

Using a micropipette, add 100 µL of the test sample to the detection reagent and shake to mix well.

3.8. Step 8

Insert the test strips and leave them to stand.

3.9. Step 9

Remove the test strip after 20 minutes to read the result.

4. Components of the allergen test kit, storage and shelf life

4.1. Components of the test kit

- 20 test strips (individually packed in transparent plastic bags, with a desiccant)

- Detection reagent (5 tubes / 1 bag, lyophilised product) – 20 tubes (4 bags)

- Extraction solution (1) (10-fold concentrated): 50ml/bottle

- Extraction solution (2) (10-fold concentrated): 50ml/bottle

- Detection reagent tube rack (10 holes, paper): 2 pieces

4.2. Storage and shelf life

- Store at 1-30 ℃ (room temperature).

- The end of the month after 18 months from the date of manufacture; Peanut and Sesame are 12 months.
