1. Intended use

The immunoaffinity column for Zearalenone analysis (ZONRHONE® WIDE, product code RBRP118) is used in combination with HPLC or LC-MS/MS for the detection of the Zearalenone toxin in a wide range of commodities.

2. General information

- This procedure is based on monoclonal antibody technology, which gives the test high specificity, sensitivity, speed and simplicity of execution. Improved clean-up and concentration of the toxin from complex food sample matrices reduces chromatographic interference and lowers the detection limit. The columns contain a gel suspension of monoclonal antibodies specific for the toxin of interest. After extraction of the toxin, the sample extract is filtered, diluted and passed slowly through the immunoaffinity column. Any toxin present in the sample is retained by the antibodies in the gel suspension

- The column is washed to remove unbound material and the toxin is then released from the column after elution with a solvent. The eluate is collected before analysis by HPLC or LC-MS/MS.
