Immunoaffinity column for Vitamin B12 analysis | EASI-EXTRACT® VITAMIN B12

1. Intended use

The Vitamin B12 immunoaffinity column (product code RBRP80) is used in combination with an HPLC or LC-MS/MS system to detect vitamin B12 in many kinds of commodities.

2. General information

- This procedure is based on monoclonal antibody technology, which gives the assay high specificity and makes it sensitive, fast and easy to perform. The columns contain a gel suspension of monoclonal antibodies specific to the vitamin of interest.

- After the vitamin is extracted, the sample extract is diluted with buffer and filtered before being slowly passed through the immunoaffinity column. Any vitamin present in the sample is retained by the antibodies in the gel suspension. The column is washed to remove any unbound material and the vitamin is then released from the column after elution with solvent. The eluate is collected, evaporated and reconstituted before analysis by HPLC or LC-MS/MS.
