1. Intended use

RIDA® QUICK Fumonisin RQS ECO (product code R5606) is a rapid Fumonisin toxin test kit used for the quantitative immunochromatographic assay with distilled-water extraction to detect fumonisin in maize. Results are evaluated with the RIDA®SMART APP software or with the RIDA SMART BOX device

2. General information

Fumonisins are highly toxic, carcinogenic metabolites of Fusarium moniliforme, which grows mainly on maize. The fumonisin dose sufficient to cause harmful effects varies considerably depending on the animal species.
