To ensure food safety, the Ministry of Health issued Decree 15/2018/ND-CP on testing of alcoholic beverages. Under it, wine, beer and other alcoholic beverages must comply with the national technical regulation for alcoholic beverages laid down in QCVN 6-3:2010/BYT before they may be placed on the market. Measuring the alcohol content in food also lets you monitor the freshness and the degree of fermentation of a product. We offer an extremely compact solution for the analysis of ethanol in food and of many other physico-chemical parameters - RIDA®CUBE.
The method is AOAC recognised and can be applied to many sample matrices such as kombucha, juice, beer....

What is the RIDA®CUBE SCAN ethanol analyser

It is a compact portable device that allows single tests to be run in production facilities or in small laboratories. The device is controlled from a tablet or phone with a simple app. Every RIDA®CUBE test kit contains 32 single tests and one RFID card holding all the test-specific data (including the data that lets the instrument calibrate itself), so no settings have to be entered.

How is ethanol measured in a sample?

Draw the sample into the measuring cuvette with a pipette and place it in the instrument; the whole test then runs automatically. The result is shown on the tablet and can also be exported to a computer. Photometric determination of ethanol:

Ethanol + NAD+ ->(ADH)-> Acetaldehyde + NADH + H+
