General information

Carazolol is a non-specific β-adrenergic blocking agent commonly used in pigs to prevent stress during transport. Carazolol is also used to prevent stress during parturition in dairy cattle. In the EU, maximum residue limits (MRLs) have been established for both pigs and cattle. Carazolol is listed in Annex I of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2377/90.
