Product detail

Has the cleaning been done correctly? And you want the fastest possible hygiene check. PacificLAB brings you the Kikkoman ATP meter solution from Japan.

The ATP meter is a solution for controlling the activity of microorganisms on surfaces, widely used in food processing plants, breweries, schools, hospitals, hotels and restaurants … To measure the level of microbial contamination quickly and simply!

Using the ATP surface microorganism testing device will help you confirm the international standing of the hygiene of your plant, hotel, school, restaurant or hospital.

Two types of test swabs for the Lumitester PD-30 ATP meter – LuciPac A3

  • Surface sample test swab: Used to swab hands and the surfaces of objects such as knives, spoons, plates, kitchen surfaces and other equipment…
  • LuciPacA3 water sample test swab: An optimal control tool for bathroom fixtures and bathtubs and for controlling the hygiene of bath water in public baths. LuciPac A3 makes hygiene control for the rinse water of electronic equipment in production plants extremely simple.

Note: Keep the test swab refrigerated – and leave it at room temperature of 20 to 26°C for 20 minutes before use

Principle of ATP – ADP – AMP detection – Kikkoman surface hygiene testing device

Kikkoman has developed a technique for the simultaneous detection of ATP+AMP+ADP based on soy sauce brewing technology.

Kikkoman owns the proprietary technology of the ATP conversion method, which allows not only the detection of ATP but also the detection of AMP and ADP.

What are ATP, ADP, AMP?: ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is a molecule present in the metabolism of all living organisms. ADP (adenosine diphosphate) and AMP (adenosine monophosphate) are produced from ATP during fermentation or heat treatment.

Measurement target: ATP, ADP, AMP present in bacteria and food residues

ATP cycle method: The A3 test swab uses Kikkoman's “ATP cycle method” with extremely high sensitivity achieved by detecting ATP together with ADP and AMP (patent pending).

Why can residual substances be detected?

The amounts of AMP and ADP present in some food residues left after cleaning are much higher than the amount of ATP, so these stains will not be detected if only the ATP content of the sample is measured. With the highly sensitive detection technology of the A3 Assay, the measured result covers not only ATP but also the amounts of ADP and AMP in the sample.
