Arc HPLC System

Delivering the ideal balance of performance and value for right-the-first-time analysis and trusted test results.

Product detail

Highly reliable, low complexity, accurate routine analysis for all

Ever-evolving regulations are impacting liquid chromatography (LC) method approaches for product quality control and beyond. With the Waters Arc HPLC System, you can count on high-efficiency separations and quality data to meet your regulatory requirements with confidence.

With Arc HPLC System, you can easily replicate and improve the performance of your existing LC methods without compromising data quality eliminating the burdens of older, less efficient LC systems. Rugged and dependable, Arc HPLC System delivers the ideal balance of performance and value for right-the-first-time analysis.

Overview

  • Enhance performance without redeveloping your method
  • Run methods with greater robustness over traditional HPLCs
  • Easily replicate and enhance existing HPLC methods with low analyte carryover, high injection precision, and high back pressure tolerance
  • Seamlessly receive transferred methods from other HPLC platforms, preserving analyte retention time and reproducibility of your analysis
  • Support compliance with Empower Chromatography Data System (CDS), the gold standard, compliant-ready software

Precision for your most stringent assay requirements

Meeting strict assay requirements can be a challenge. With the Arc HPLC System, the USP assay for losartan potassium met all the system suitability requirements, including injection precision <0.5%. Comparison of the Arc HPLC System to competitive high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) systems demonstrates leading performance in USP efficiency, USP tailing, and injection precision.

Seamless transfer without changing your existing methods

With the Arc HPLC System, easily transfer existing methods from the instrument, laboratory and resources used to develop the original method. Achieve equivalent test results without compromising method integrity or changing validated gradient tables. If necessary, Gradient SmartStart can be used to make adjustments due to dwell volume differences between the sending and receiving systems.

Arc HPLC System3

The HPLC performance you expect

The Arc HPLC System uses quaternary gradient formation that performs as well as many binary HPLC systems. In a side-by-side comparison for challenging separation at high flow rates, the system delivered similar retention time stability and superior peak area repeatability compared to a competitive binary system.

Arc HPLC System4

Improve your productivity and efficiency

When methods are scaled to smaller particles (e.g., from 5 μm to 3.5 μm), the resulting backpressure typically increases, and the resolution improves. The high-pressure limit of the Arc HPLC System allows the use of high flow rates with smaller particle columns to gain efficiency, reducing the analytical run time and mobile phase consumption. As shown in the image, the resolution of a critical pair of analytes (peaks 5 and 6) improved as a result of method scaling on the Arc HPLC System.
