SureFast® VEGAN – precise detection of animal DNA traces in raw and processed food

• High sensitivity (LOD: 0.01%)
• Distinguishing DNA traces of vertebrate animals and plants in food
• Positive control corresponding to 0.1% vertebrate animal DNA

The new real-time PCR kit of SureFast® VEGAN (Art.No. F4055) is used to detect traces of animal DNA in vertebrate animals and the difference between vertebrate animal and plant DNA in food. This kit provides sensitivity down to 0.01% animal DNA to support vegan label claims. The included positive control, containing 0.1% bovine DNA, can be used as a reference for setting the detection threshold.
Note: This kit does not detect insects, arachnids, molluscs and crustaceans.

Which instruments can be used with the SureFast® VEGAN vertebrate animal DNA analysis kit?

Real-time PCR testing can be carried out with commonly used real-time PCR instruments equipped to detect two fluorescent emissions in the FAM and Cy5 channels at the same time. The technical verification of the kit SureFast® VEGAN has been carried out on:
