Analyzing mycotoxins in food and animal feed is necessary and often required by law to protect consumer health.
- Throughout history, mycotoxins (as we know them today) have degraded the quality of agricultural products and posed a serious threat to humans and animals.
- We supply test kits for checking every related type of mycotoxin, from Aflatoxin to T-2 and HT-2 toxins.
The smart way to test mycotoxins
The RIDA®SMART APP application allows quantitative rapid testing of mycotoxins with high sensitivity and accuracy.

The mycotoxin analysis method
- Analyzing mycotoxins presents some special challenges: mycotoxins are contaminants that appear very unevenly distributed and at very low concentrations in complex food matrices.
- Mycotoxins spread very unevenly throughout the product and can be present at very low levels, so sampling and extraction play a decisive role in the accuracy of the result.
* ELISA-method test kits (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays) are very accurate and suitable for screening and quantifying mycotoxins in large sample series.
- RIDASCREEN® FAST A short incubation time of 8 – 15 minutes, for up to 19 samples in one determination in a single run.
- RIDASCREEN® + Low limit of detection (LOD). With an incubation time of, for example, 75 minutes for up to 42 samples in one determination.
+ The main advantage of the ELISA method is processing large numbers of samples quickly, with the low setup cost of the RIDA®ABSORBANCE 96.
Multi-mycotoxin analysis
Mycotoxins often appear at the same time in different commodities. It is not unusual to find several trichothecenes … in one sample.

Mycotoxin standards
Mycotoxin standard solutions are used regularly in mycotoxin analysis. They can be used for calibration, recovery checks, and method validation to ensure the reliability of the results.
