Which international certifications do Nissui Compact Dry plates hold?
Whether a testing method is standardised or not, and whether it is recognised worldwide or not, is extremely important for laboratories and manufacturers. This is because the values of test results obtained with standardised methods or reference methods... are global. It removes quality barriers for import and export. For customers who have already trusted and are using Nissui Compact Dry plates. We would like to send you more detailed information about the certifications that the Compact Dry Nissui plates has achieved. This further confirms your sound choice.

What is MicroVal?
MicroVal is an international certification organisation for the validation and certification of alternative methods for analysing microorganisms in food, beverages and water. MicroVal certification demonstrates that these proprietary methods perform as well as reference methods (international standards ISO 16140-2: 2016, ISO 16140-6: 2019 and other validation standards).

MicroVal certification of alternative methods ensures that they are accepted by government inspection laboratories and commercial laboratories, thereby facilitating international trade. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has also recognised MicroVal as a validation body for alternative test methods.
The scale of MicroVal
- MicroVal currently provides more than 50 certificates for 16 test kit manufacturers in Europe, North America and Asia.
- More than 30 international experts take part in MicroVal. The validation process is based on EN-ISO 16140-2 and EN-ISO 16140-6.
- MicroVal validates and certifies alternative methods to meet the European requirements of Commission Regulation (EC) No 2073/2005.
Secretariat designated by NEN, the Dutch standardisation institute. - MicroVal's TC and GC members are part of: AOAC, Afnor and NordVal, FDA and other competent authorities.
The MicroVal certification registration process
To obtain MicroVal certification, you must follow these steps:
The manufacturer must apply for certification with MicroVal by filling in the registration form.
Next, the manufacturer must select a MicroVal expert laboratory.
The validation studies are carried out by the selected MicroVal expert laboratory. If necessary, Microval will evaluate the production process, which will be carried out by MicroVal.
The results are presented to the MicroVal Technical Committee for evaluation, and the recommendation is made to the MicroVal Certification Body
The MicroVal Certification Body makes the final certification decision
If the method has already been validated or certified by another organisation, specific rules are applied to examine those results.
