Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS and LC-MS/MS) combines the separating power of chromatography with the sensitivity and selectivity of mass spectrometry, for trace quantitation and compound identification in complex matrices.
The range includes Xevo TQ tandem quadrupole mass spectrometers for routine to ultra-trace quantitation; Xevo G3 QTof and Xevo MRT high-resolution mass spectrometers for screening and identification; the ACQUITY QDa II mass detector, which adds mass information to an LC system; and the APGC source for coupling gas chromatography to Waters mass spectrometers.
Typical applications: pesticide and antibiotic residues, toxins, pharmaceutical impurities and bioanalysis.
